Ar.L Rules


The idea behind this group is created tournament between Arabian countries and nationalities, as the name already implies (Arabian League). Arabian league (Ar.L) is the league of Arabian countries and nationalities playing team match tournament on Chess.com. Teams battle it out in fierce competition to determine the Arabian League Champion for each year.

SCORING, PENALTIES, AND TIE-BREAKS

SCORING SYSTEM:
Win  = 2 scores
Tied = 1 score
Loss = 0 score

PENALTIES:
  • Team match scores will be adjusted for all closed accounts and disqualified multi-team-players.
  • If one player's account is closed or is a multi-team-player, s/he will lose both games by disqualification. If both players are disqualified, the points will be split 0:0 regardless of the actual result. However, a game lost by time won’t gain a point.

TIE-BREAKS:

  • If two teams have a tied score at the standings, theNeustadtl Score System will used to determine the Tie-Breaks .
  • Based on the share of won games (in percentage) and the share of completeness. Unfinished games in the matches are counted as tied till they are finished.

GENERAL RULES
Teams and players are allowed to participate in the league, as long as they follow these rules:

1.  One single team per Arabian  country or nationality is invited to this tournament.
2.  Country or nationality names and flags must be applied to the team profiles, and the team must have at least 30 members.
3.  Each player may only play for one arabian country team for the whole year's matches. Team admins are responsible for enforcing this Rule.
4.  The teams are allowed and encouraged to insert following text into their profile description: “This team represent [country or nationality name] in the Arabian  League.”, and to copy these rules into the team forums, so that all participants are aware of them.
5.   At least one (1) team admin per team are encouraged to join the dedicated tournament forum for the season in order to receive all relevant info. will join in  Arabian league (HQ) and Arabian league (AR.L)
6. When creating team matches, should game settings be applied according to the general match settings . Warnings will be given to teams that not send or accept challenges, or not lock their rosters, or have too few participating players in the matches.
7.  When the pairing for each round is announced, both teams are responsible for sending and receiving the challenge.
8.  Before teams lock their rosters are team admins allowed to remove any player from their team or the match who has a 15%or greater timeout percentage, or whose account is closed, or is suspected or detected multi-team-player.
9. Scores and tie-breaks are given to the teams who play matches. Match results are adjusted due to closed accounts and multi-team- playing, and match results are to be accordingly adjusted.
10.The current scoreboards and standings will be posted in the tournament forum. Team admins are encouraged to transmit this information to their team members. All figures presented before the cutoff are only preliminaries.
11.Teams and players are encouraged to follow these rules. Teams could be warned and disqualified for this season if they repeatedly not starting matches or otherwise breaking these rules. Such team will be moved to the lowest division for next season.
12.Team admins are encouraged to report any deviations and complaints due to these rules through the tournament forum.
13. All matches should be set according the Team Matches settengs.
